Talyndal lay on the floor of the old mansion, in the living room, watching the clouds through the gaps in the roof. She was half asleep; she'd been waiting here for three hours and was about to give up. It would be dark soon. When the clouds were replaced with stars, she would retreat into the lair. Talyn was a little hungry, and she didn't want her vampiric thirst to overwhelm her. It happened before, and she wouldn't let it happen again.

Shadowdemon entered the mansion again after he had been standing outside for thirty minutes looking at whatever was still worth seeing after the invasion. He went to the living room where he saw Talyndal lying on the floor. "What's the matter, something on your mind?" He asked her, leaning against the side of the doorway.

"Nah," Talyn said. "Just waiting for someone." She grinned at him, "Little Rinna had a Seeing. Apparently a couple of more of our people are going to show up, and I'll have to wait here until they do. 'Cause only family can open the door to the Lair, and I'm the only one who has the patience to wait and wait and wait." The teen's grin disappeared. "I'm bored, though. Wanta hang out until whoever it is shows up?"

Talyndal shrugged, still laying down. "I think that..." she heard a strange noise. Like machinary. She froze for a moment, motioned for Shadow to be still, then crawled to a grimy window. The goblins (for that was her nickname for them, and it fit) were doing a fly-over again. Probably do some target practice too. As the mansion was a nice big target, they'd probably go for it. "Dammit," Talyn muttered. "This is just perfect." Just then she heard a huge explosion, several feet away from the mansion. "We're not in the Lair; we're gonna be smoked."

"well then I guess we'll have to go to the lair then." He said, when he saw a missile - like object flying over the mansion through a hole in the roof. "Get down!" He yelled while throwing Talyn to the floor with him in front of her, the next moment they heared a big blast behind them and Shadowdemon felt al the dust flying over him and Talyn. "Are you alright?" He stood up and looked around him, the whole east side of the manor was gone.

"Yeah," Talyn said, her voice muffled slightly. "I hope..." she got up, stumbled slightly, and ran to the rubble. "Shoot, this entrance is blocked." She sighed overdramtically, "We'll have to leave the mansion, and go to the next closest entrance." She went over the map of the lair in her head and found the closest way in; by the gray boulder. Talyndal said, "We have ta stay in here until they're finished flying by, then we get the hell outta here."

"ok, lets just hope they won't bomb this place again." He said and after a while he thought of something "What do we do with the people coming here, they'll only find destrucion?" He looked outside to see if there were any other fly-by's coming to them.

"Huh. Good question," Talyn sighed. "I'll still have to keep an eye out, then." She realized that the 'ships were leaving. "At least that's over with."

Kiryan crouched beneath a bush - little protection from the Gobs, but the best he could find. He couldn't help but think that they had tracked him somehow, but then wouldn't they have found him quickly as soon as he escaped? He sighed when the ships were gone, and got up. He was stiff, from crouching so long. Kiryan sighed again and looked around. His eyes widened. The huge, abandoned house he had sought for shelter was half gone. "d**n," he complained. "Now what?"
